Mr. B, bridges represent connection and unity, so their construction is something to be celebrated. Then why do we sing “London Bridge is falling down” as nursery rhymes? 🤔

Whereas in Ramcharitamanas 🌺🌸:
Nal nīva kari bāndhahiṁ setu।
Dekhi daśānan sakuci sametu।।
Suni kapikul haraṣe saba lāgī।
Janu pā’e kari kalpataru bāgī।।
नल नींव करि बाँधहिं सेतु। देखि दसानन सकुचि समेतु।।
सुनि कपिकुल हरषे सब लागि। जनु पाए करि कल्पतरु बागी।।
The ten headed demon king, or the ten vices of our lives, became anxious when the bridge (Ram Setu) was built by the monkey architect, Nal, with the help of other monkey warriors, and all other monkeys started rejoicing as if they have obtained a wish-fulfilling tree (kalpavriksh) 😇

I think bridges (setu) are the best and the most beautiful man-made structures. We need to make more bridges to reach out to others, connect more, and celebrate togetherness. Bridges also symbolise that it is ok to be different, but there should be a way to go across, if required.
