Wrote this on 28-May-2025, my first ever poetry in Hindi.
The poem, written in Hindi on 28-May-2025, explores themes of love, loss, and identity through various references to Hindu culture and India’s historical events.
It is a quest to go back in the history and request the characters in those events to change their decision for a more likeable outcome from author’s perspective.
अगर राज से सिमरन करती होगी प्यार,
तो मुडके देखेगी पक्का एक बार
पलट सिमरन पलट…(१)
रे कान्हा, पुकारा होता एक बार राधा,
उल्टी धारा बहती, जो कहते तेरे बिन में आधा
पलट क्रिशना पलट…(२)
ढूँढने गये हनुमंत जहां, उस बन का नाम था अशोक,
ले जाते साथ अपने वापिस, जब सिया मना रही थी शोक
पलट मारुति पलट…(३)
सन् सैंतालीस में, जब वतन था आधा बटा,
बोले होते गांधी, क्यों हिंदू से मुसलमान कटा
पलट जिन्ना पलट…(४)
जब द्रौपदी का हो रहा था चीरहरण,
कहते भीष्म, भाभी है ये तुम्हारी, छू लोउनके चरण
पलट दुर्योधन पलट…(५)
पैसे और ख्याति के चक्कर में बेस हम परदेस, परदेश
बस कहा होता, हे माँ, आजा वापिस अपने देश
पलट बेटा पलट…(६)
अगर राज से सिमरन करती होगी प्यार,
